Biography
MLA Deoband · Minister of State, PWD · Uttar Pradesh
Kunwar Brijesh Singh, widely known among his constituents as a man of the people, is a two-term Member of the Legislative Assembly from the Deoband constituency in Saharanpur district, Uttar Pradesh. Born and raised in Deoband — the culturally and historically significant town in the Gangetic plains — he developed a deep sense of public duty from an early age.
An educationist by personal inclination, Singh holds a Ayurved Shastri degree from the prestigious Gurukul Ayurveda College, Jwalapur, Haridwar (1995), reflecting his connection to India's classical intellectual tradition. He comes from a family with roots in local community leadership, and this heritage of service has defined his political philosophy.
His political career began not with electoral ambition, but with ideological conviction — as a student leader in the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in 1994. The discipline, organizational training and sense of national purpose instilled in him through ABVP and subsequently through the RSS and BJYM laid the foundation for his rise as one of West Uttar Pradesh's most respected BJP leaders.

Known for direct accessibility to voters, Singh maintains open communication with his constituency through regular jan-sabhas and public interaction programs.
Considered an aggressive yet principled politician, he speaks his mind clearly in the Vidhan Sabha, holding authorities accountable for public welfare.
Deep roots in the BJP organizational structure — from District Secretary to West UP Incharge at BJYM level — give him formidable party reach and influence.
Deeply anchored in RSS philosophy, he believes in culturally rooted governance, honest administration and the ancient Indian model of Rajdharma.
Despite representing a constituency with a large Muslim population, Singh has worked to serve all communities, focusing on development over division.
As PWD Minister of State, he has actively pushed road construction, expressway connectivity and infrastructure improvements for Deoband and the broader UP region.
"From ABVP student leader in 1994 to Minister of State in 2022 — every step has been taken with the faith of the people of Deoband."
